The BC Lions are hosting a Vegas-style pool party on Robson Street on Saturday, July 25, ahead of their 4 p.m. home opener against the Toronto Argonauts. The party marks the team's return to BC Place after being displaced by the FIFA World Cup since the start of the CFL season.
Three large inflatable pools will be set up on the 100-block of Robson Street beginning at noon, inviting fans to put on swimsuits and take a dip. DJ Peter All Good will serve up music while a foam machine adds to the ambiance. The party extends into Terry Fox Plaza with food trucks from B&B Burgers and Little Devils Wood Fire Pizza, plus $5 beers, White Claws, and Tequila Roar.
The Uproar dance team and Crazy P will perform, while Lions alumni Bo Lokombo and Lucky Whitehead will be signing autographs. Live entertainment, games, and other activations round out the event.
Lions tickets begin at $25, plus fees. This season features just seven Lions home games at BC Place, as the team played their first two home games in Kelowna.
