Shots were fired at a residence in Cloverdale early July 7, with Surrey Police Service now investigating the incident as extortion-related.

Police confirmed gunshot damage to the exterior of a home in the 16500-block of 58th Avenue at 2:51 a.m. The residence was occupied at the time, but no one was injured. The SPS Extortion Response Team is leading the investigation based on the suspected motive.

Staff Sergeant Lindsey Houghton said police are seeking anyone in the neighbourhood who may have witnessed the shooting, dashcam footage, or home camera recordings that could provide leads. Anyone with information can contact SPS's non-emergency line at 604-599-0502.
