A Campbell River man caught a lucky break last week when he spotted his stolen travel trailer being towed southbound on the Inland Island Highway.

The 32-foot Jayco was stolen overnight from the Campbell River area. The owner contacted police after seeing it being towed by an unknown F-350 pickup. Oceanside RCMP located the trailer on the Alberni Highway near Whiskey Creek, about 18 kilometres from Parksville.

All four occupants of the truck were arrested. A 50-year-old man faced two outstanding warrants for breaking-and-entering and failure to appear in court and was held in custody pending a court appearance. The three others were given court dates and charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000.
