A security guard was stabbed in the parking lot of Central City Fun Park, 11125 124 St. in Surrey, around 3:38 a.m. Thursday. The victim suffered multiple stab wounds to the arms and legs and is in serious condition, according to Surrey Police Service.
Ricco Norman Zanolli, 37, was found in the parking lot and arrested without incident. He faces charges of aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, and two counts of breaching a release order. He has not yet entered a plea.
BC Emergency Health Services took the victim to hospital, and police started first aid at the scene. Zanolli is in custody and has a first court appearance in Surrey Provincial Court Thursday afternoon.
