Pinoy Festival returns for its fourth year as a full two-day celebration in Burnaby, expanding from its previous single-day format to capture growing interest from performers, vendors, and community groups.

The festival runs Saturday, June 20 and Sunday, June 21 from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. at Swangard Stadium (6100 Boundary Road). Admission is free.

Under the theme "One World. One Goal. One Filipino Spirit," the festival is timed to coincide with Vancouver hosting the FIFA World Cup, organizers say. The programming emphasizes bayanihan (communal unity), resilience, and heritage pride.

A signature event is the Solidarity Parade, where cultural organizations and communities march together in a vibrant display of diversity and inclusion. Beyond the parade, the festival features the energetic Hataw Zumba community workout, a Tiangge pop-up market with local entrepreneurs and artisans, a Filipino art exhibition exploring migration and identity, traditional Arnis demonstrations, and a fashion show tracing Filipino history through clothing.

A dedicated food festival showcases Filipino favourites alongside multicultural offerings. An inuman sa kanto—the Filipino tradition of gathering and conversation—returns with a beer garden and live music space.

Evening programming features 11 multicultural DJs, hip-hop performances, and breakdancing displays. The Family Fun Park offers bouncy castles, magic shows, interactive activities, and a young entrepreneurs showcase.

The weekend concludes with a concert celebrating Filipino and local talent, headlined by Filipino music icon Rachel Alejandro. Known for hits including "Mr. Kupido" and "Nakapagtataka," Alejandro will perform as part of the festival's closing concert.
