The Oakridge–41st Avenue Canada Line station will close early at 11 p.m. from Sunday, Aug. 24 through Thursday for roughly one month, TransLink said. No closures are planned for Fridays, Saturdays, and Labour Day.

The early closures support ongoing station upgrades requiring safe working conditions away from peak commute times. Crews will add glass panels, install roll-up security barriers, and pour concrete near the station's stairs.

The full renovation is expected to finish in early 2027 and will include two new escalators, a renovated station entrance with a new roof for weather protection, direct underground access to the new Oakridge Park mall, an updated R4 RapidBus stop on 41st Avenue with new information displays and shelter, and new public art.

Transit riders can use the #15 Cambie/Olympic Village Station bus as an alternative between King Edward and Langara–49th Avenue stations, though TransLink advises allowing 20 minutes of extra travel time. Canada Line staff will assist customers, and signage will direct them to the bus service.

The Canada Line transports passengers between downtown Vancouver, Vancouver International Airport, and Richmond. The last train from Waterfront departs for YVR at 1:08 a.m. and for Richmond–Brighouse at 1:15 a.m.
